VALERIE YANG Since young, Valerie wanted to grow up to be anything but a housewife, so she became a glassblower, tattoo artist and recently, a paramedic too. She plans to save as many lives until the day she retires. PEENUT LEE Since young, Peenut imagined herself to grow up to be many things, though a tattoo artist was never one of them. She not-so-secretly envisions herself to be a carpenter when she retires, if she still has hands left. Specialises in sketch work, Peenut has an innate compulsion to draw lines but she is happy to work on tattoos of all shapes, sizes and styles. AARON CAI Since young, Aaron aspired to be a professional football player but as he grew up, his knees fell short, so his arms stepped up and Aaron became a tattoo artist instead. He might pursue a career as a UFC fighter when he retires. Specialises in black and grey, realism/portrait. MELVIN HOON Since young, Melvin dreamt of becoming a rock star but he grew up and became a tattoo artist instead. He plans to form his own boy band when he retires. Specialises in black work. ALISON YEN Since young, Alison, in her quest of polymathy, modelled herself on Leonardo Da Vinci. To date, she has acquired a variety of specialties including chemistry, portraiture, fitness, personal training, just to name a few. As she embarks on a brand new chapter in becoming a tattoo artist, Alison is keen to explore various styles other than realism – where her strength lies. Fresh apprentice, ready for solid black work.
